How to Make a Lazy Oaks Horse Clinic - June 13th 2026

The June 13 Lazy Oaks Clinic will include two up close and personal observation-only sessions. Attendees may register for one individual session or attend both for the full-day experience.

Session One: Building Trust & Respect

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This session will focus on the foundation of the Lazy Oaks program: building trust, creating respect, reading the horse, and developing a safer, more willing partner from the ground up.

Topics may include:

  • Reading the horse’s body language

  • Building confidence without creating pushiness

  • Establishing boundaries without fear

  • Catching, touching, and early handling concepts

  • Creating calm, respectful responses

  • Understanding timing, release, and pressure

Session Two: Desensitization

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

This session will focus on desensitization and preparing horses to confidently handle real-world situations.

Topics may include:

  • Desensitizing without overwhelming the horse

  • Teaching horses to think instead of react

  • Introducing new objects, movement, sound, and pressure

  • Building confidence through controlled exposure

  • Understanding when to advance and when to slow down

  • Applying desensitization to practical everyday handling

Individual Session: $150
Both Sessions: $250
