Our Horses
Hazel
2014 AQHA Buckskin Mare - “Dynamite Whizkey”
NRHA Money Earner
Hazel is an own daughter of Whizkey N Diamonds LTE $224,020 progeny earnings of $3million+
Hazel is Chris's personal horse. She's a thick built, buckskin “Ferrari with four legs” and can spin a hole in the ground. She's easily the most performance minded horse we've ever had, and that makes her a fun challenge for Chris. Hazel won money as a reiner before she came to us as a broodmare and after she had her filly Marley, we realized she's much more than a broodmare. She loves having a job and she loves showing us what she can do. Hazel gets along really well with our other mares and is gentle enough for our kids to handle and trailer load. She's also a fantastic mama, so we're breeding her in 2026 for a 2027 foal.
Vega
2017 AQHA Grullo Mare - “Paysonsskipenhancock”
“Bluetimestwo Hancock” x “Wooley Eyed Skipper”
Vega is Devon's horse. She is an all around, do anything, anyone can ride her kind of horse. Her stunning blue roan color and gorgeous mane and tail are just a bonus. She's the kindest, gentlest girl, with a mind very similar to Sundance's, but with a lot more ranch experience. Vega has moved cows, been roped off of, dragged sleds, and done all the ranch chores. She's absolutely phenomenal on trail, great in the arena, and is such a wonderful family horse. We love her so much we wish we had ten of her!
Sundance
2017 AQHA Palomino Mare - “Reyn N Cash”
Own daughter of Lil Joe Cash
Sundance was Devon's horse before she was Oliver's horse. Sunny came to us trained as a reiner with a mind of gold. At three years old she was as solid and steady as a 10 year old. She's not going to win any timed events but she feels like a Cadillac so no one cares. When Oliver graduated from riding his pony we needed a calm, gentle horse for him to grow into. We didn't have to look very far. The kids have been riding Sundance since they were tiny, and she's always taken amazing care of them, so it was a natural progression for her to become Oliver's horse. She and Oliver clicked immediately and have been bonded ever since. They were taking reined cow horse lessons together before Sunny went on maternity leave. Her foal is due in early 2026
Pearl
“Dual Pearl”
2002 AQHA Bay Mare
NCHA Money Earner
“Dual Pep” x “Shorty Lena Pearl”
Pearl is Georgia's horse. She's the oldest, and also the stockiest horse we have. Pearl was a money earning cutter in her youth and while she's still got it at 23, she now has the very important job of showing Georgia the ropes. After Georgia got too big for her pony, Pearl was the perfect step up. Georgia describes her lope as "a really fast cloud!" They're taking reined cow horse lessons together and Pearl is taking such good care of Georgia. They both have so much fun and Georgia is learning so much. It's all we can do to get Georgia to stop loping her girl around the arena and come inside.
